Dog Ramps and Stairs

Dogs are such wonderful companions to humans and it is sometimes hard to see them get older with age.  With age comes health issues such as hip problems.  Your once bouncing and happy-go-lucky puppy who always followed you around and snuggled with you on the couch and bed now has problems making that leap to be by your side.

However, thankfully, there are such products such as doggy steps out on the market which help take the strain off your dogs legs.  These dog stairs come in steps of three or four which when put beside the couch or bed, help the dog get up and be closer to his human companion. Moreover, dog stairs not only help the older dogs but the smaller dogs as well for their height deficiency.  Although these dogs are small, they have a lot of heart and a lot of love to give.  Obviously they want to have a chance to snuggle with their owners.

While having doggy stairs help both the older and smaller dogs climb around the house, the same issues still apply outside the hosue.  Dogs love to be with their humans on car rides but climbing into trucks, SUVs and other large vehicles sometimes presents a challenge.  Luckily, there are dog ramps for cars which serve the same purpose as to facilitate a dog's climb into the car.  These ramps can be folding to make it easier for storage inside the trunk or cargo area, and they can also be telescopic as well so you can pull them to adjust to the length you need.  However, in both cases when looking for ramps or stairs, make sure that they are sturdy enough for your dog and can handle your dog's weight.  

The unfortunate fact is that our dogs eventually do get older but their love for us never diminishes.  Young or old, they always want to be by our sides.  Why not make their lives easier by getting a dog ramp or stairs so they can be close to us?
